1. Accounts & Registration
LeapLocus provides a platform that connects workers and students with hospitality employers (venues, hotels, and businesses).
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal working age in your jurisdiction) to register an account and book shifts.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide true, current, and complete profile information, including your legal name, educational institution (if applicable), and contact details.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and are fully responsible for all activities occurring under your account.
2. Shift Bookings & Waitlists
LeapLocus lists open shifts posted by partner venues. When you book a shift, you enter a contract directly with the hospitality venue.
Waitlists & Cancellation Policies
In order to keep the platform reliable for hospitality businesses, the following rules apply:
- Booking Commitments: Once a booking is confirmed, you are expected to show up on time and perform the duties of the shift.
- Cancellations: If you cancel a shift, it negatively impacts venues. Frequent cancellations can lead to penalty fees, account suspension, or restriction from booking future shifts.
- Waitlist Eligibility: If a shift is full, you may join the waitlist. However, if you leave a waitlist or cancel a booking for a specific shift, LeapLocus reserves the right to restrict you from re-joining the waitlist for that shift to prevent slot manipulation.
3. Attendance, GPS & Ratings
We leverage modern technology to verify check-ins and performance.
A. Check-in and Check-out Verification
To verify you are present at the work site, you must check in and check out through the mobile application. The app uses your device's GPS location to confirm you are within the designated geofence of the partner venue. Failure to enable GPS location or complete the digital check-in/out process will prevent verification and may forfeit payment for that shift.
B. Feedback and Rating System
After completing a shift, partner venues rate your performance and attendance. These ratings directly build your profile's average rating, which is visible to hotels when you apply for future shifts. If your rating drops below a specific quality threshold, or if you record multiple unexcused no-shows, LeapLocus may permanently deactivate your account.
4. Earnings & Withdrawals
Funds earned from verified shifts are credited to your in-app wallet.
- Wallet Balance: Your wallet shows your total earnings, pending clearances, and withdrawable funds.
- Service Fees: LeapLocus charges a service platform fee for processing transactions and hosting the application. This fee is automatically deducted before earnings are posted or upon withdrawal.
- Withdrawal Processing: You may request a payout to your designated bank account or digital wallet. Payouts are processed on a weekly basis, subject to identity verification and banking clearing times.
5. Image & Content Uploads
LeapLocus allows users, especially partner hotels and venues, to upload visual assets including brand logos, hotel property photos, and shift banners.
Intellectual Property & Content License
By uploading any visual content, logos, or texts to LeapLocus, you represent and warrant that:
- You own all intellectual property rights to the uploaded assets or have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses from the rightful owner.
- The uploaded images do not infringe on copyrights, trademark rights, privacy rights, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
- You grant LeapLocus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual license to host, display, resize, distribute, and publish these images solely for the purpose of operating, marketing, and promoting the platform.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:
- GPS Spoofing: Falsifying your geographic location to simulate presence at a venue is strictly prohibited and constitutes fraud.
- Account Sharing: You must not permit anyone else to perform shift work under your registered account credentials.
- Direct Solicitation: Circumnavigating LeapLocus to coordinate off-platform employment or payments directly between users and venues is a violation of these terms.
- Inappropriate Behavior: Displaying unprofessional, abusive, or dangerous conduct at venue properties will result in immediate lifetime banning.
7. Disclaimers of Liability
LeapLocus is a platform connecting independent parties. LeapLocus does not employ workers, nor does it guarantee shift availability or quality of work.
The platform and all contents are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. LeapLocus disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall LeapLocus be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the services.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LeapLocus operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be settled via binding arbitration in accordance with local regulations, and you waive the right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.
